Born and raised on the outskirts of Nashville, Mason began his professional career as a musician before pursuing his passion for filmmaking. Trading his guitar for a camera, he quickly gained notoriety as a uniquely raw and powerful talent. Self-taught and utilizing his musical background, Mason has become one of the industry’s most prolific and highly praised award-winning music video and commercial directors.
Collaborating with a broad range of brands and talent, from Nissan, Kabbage, Dollywood, actors Danny Trejo and Jaleel White, to music superstars Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, and Matchbox 20, Mason has a unique ability to capture brand identity within an immersive cinematic narrative.
Also a renowned editor, Mason has edited many award-winning music videos and commercials, ranging from Pepsi, Corona, Weber, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, as well as the ESPN documentary Boys of Fall, and 30 for 30’s The Irrelevant Giant, which was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Long Feature.
Expertly able to visualize compelling and entertaining stories mixed with a vividly realistic and stylish aesthetic, Mason is renowned for clever, bold storytelling. His work spans across the globe, and work has earned him a Shorty Award, CMT Awards, and top spots on MTV, FUSE, VH1, and CMT’s #1 Countdowns, debuted at #1 on iTunes, and collectively have over 250 million hits on Youtube and Vevo.
Mason is currently developing a feature film for production in 2020.
